About Fish Quest Charters Key West

The Key West Charter captains that fish the Dry Tortugas and Marquesas fishing grounds are a select few. Fish Quest Charters and a handful of other multi-day charters are available in the Key West area. They run multi-day overnight charters weekdays and weekends throughout the year.

The Key West Charter captains are USCG licensed and are experts in finding productive fishing in the areas of Key West, the Marquesas Keys and around the Dry Tortugas.

The Dry Tortugas fishing grounds are outside a radius of the Fort Jefferson National Park. Although we do anchor in the protected harbor next to Fort Jefferson sometimes, we may not always visit the Fort as a destination because the fishing may be better in other areas.

The primary catch during our overnight hours at anchor would be yellowtail snapper, mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, black grouper, red grouper and gag grouper. To stay busy during the trip west of Key West, your captain may suggest trolling ballyhoo or lures to pick up some mahi-mahi, wahoo, sailfish, tuna or kingfish along the way.

The Marquesas Keys are 28 miles west of Key West Harbor. This atoll is 3- miles wide and is a haven for flats fishing and shallow water snorkeling. Our captains may fish the areas west of the Marquesas but return to the Marquesas for safe harbor during the overnight hours.

Please visit our fishing boats page for more information on the accommodations and feel free to Contact us for availability on one of our multi-day fishing charters.
